ELiTE Goes 8 for 8 at Keeneland January

The Keeneland January Sale has come and past for Elite Sales, but not without selling each of its eight entries that went through the ring.

 

We’d like to thank each and every owner who supported us during this sale, including George Strawbridge, Peter Miller, Slam Dunk Racing, Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb, Rob Masiello, Adam Wachtel, Ten Strike Racing, The Elkstone Group, Wonder Stables and Bethlehem Stables.

 

Topping the sale for Elite was Tobago, the last hip through the ring on Monday who sold for $215,000 to Eaton Bloodstock on behalf of George Strawbridge’s Augustin Stable.

Also selling on Monday was Painting Corners, who the first horse through the ring at the sale, for owners Peter Miller and Slam Dunk Racing. The SW/G3P mare sold for $150,000 to Andre Lynch.

On Wednesday, Shadan gained the distinction of being the top Broodmare sold on the day, hammering for $145,000 to Haras d’Etreham. Previously owned by Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb and Bethlehem Stables, the stakes winning mare sold in-foal to Munnings.

The next public auction on the schedule for Elite Sales will be the Keeneland April Horses of Racing Age sale where in 2019, the Elite consigned Sweet Diane topped the sale when selling for $500,000 to River Bend Farm.
