Following the fireworks that went off at Fasig-Tipton the night before, ELiTE had a strong showing of racing/broodmare prospects and in-foal mares in Keeneland’s Book 1 highlighted by Grade 2 winner/multiple Grade 1 placed RYMSKA (FR) who sold for $1,050,000 to Peter Brant’s White Birch Farm, Inc.
An earner of over $800,000 and in the money in 13 of 15 lifetime starts, RYMSKA was campaigned by trainer Chad Brown for owners Madaket Stables, Tom Coleman, Michael Doheny, Norton Herrick and Long Lake Stable. This year, she won the G2 Hillsborough and put in runner-up efforts in both the G1 Jenny Wiley at Keeneland and G1 Gamely at Santa Anita before being retired mid-year.
RYMSKA was the first of ELiTE’s 6 horse draft to go through the ring on Wednesday, November 6th which grossed over $2,500,000 averaging $430,833 a piece.
