Elite Sales sold 6 of the top 10 horses offered at last Friday’s Keeneland April Sale, leading the sale by gross with a total of $1,676,000, $748,000 more than the second leading consignor. Leading the group was SF/Starlight/Madaket’s BLUE DEVIL (pictured below), who sold for $260,000 to Rocket Ship Racing, while the same ownership group’s BLACKADDER hammered for $250,000 to Claiborne Farm.
T D DANCE, owned by Madaket, Wonder Farr and Hanley, went for $220,000 to John Ballantyne/NBS Stable and Al Shaqab’s AFJAN sold for $210,000 to Three Diamonds Farm. Elite’s next sale will take place on July 11th at the Fasig-Tipton Horses of Racing Age Sale.
