The Fasig Tipton February sale saw 197 hips offered including the first digital offering of 2YO’s in training. 157 of 197 horses were sold with a sale average of $31,626 and more than 1,000 prospective buyers registered to bid. ELiTE consigned 6 horses of racing age and sold all 6 of them for a 100% clearance rate and an average of $68,333. Our consignment was topped by hip 33, Sudden Switch, a debut MSW winning filly by Munnings who ran a 10.5 Ragozin – the fastest last start Rag in the sale. Sudden Switch brought $170,000 and was purchased by Phil Hager of Taproot Bloodstock. Hip 4, Fundamentally, a filly by Liam’s Map who won a MSW last time out sold for $85,000 to Marc Tacher. Hip 29, Derz Smart, a gelding by Violence and an 11+ length MSW winner in his last start sold for $60,000 to Day at the Races, LLC. Other horses sold include, Worth Considering, Back to Gridlock and Starborn.
